Algebra-Geometry 1 emphasizes linear functions, algebraic expressions, and equations. Analyzing data, probability, and Geometry (including an introduction to Geometric proofs) are also significant components of this course. To support our work in these topics, we continue to develop our number sense, estimation, and computation skills, including work with irrational numbers. Students who are very successful in this course have the opportunity to earn one high school math credit (if they pass the state test for this course), and will be well prepared for Algebra-Geometry 2.
